ARTS MARKET on 1114 QUEEN EAST

Litho Vids!!

After a few months of working on these litho videos I finally finished them a few days ago and have posted them! They are meant to be used as a reference when people start printing for the first time. It can be daunting at the beginning since there is quite a learning curve. They are also meant to help people understand the lithographic process a bit more because most people have no idea what I'm taking about when i tell them i slay lithography.

TAN COFFEE SLAYAGE AND OTHER SHOWS

My buddy Bradford and I have been SOOooo busy packing up cafes and restaurant with art slayage. We just finished hanging work at Tan Coffee (Baldwin and Beveleryish). The place has fucking awesome coffee and they were nice enough to allow us to hang up a bunch of paintings and prints. Most of them are older however there are a few new ones (prints) and a few older paintings i haven't shown since 2009!

It's quite bad ass. here are some pics! The work is up untill the end of August. I also have work up at czehoski (queen and Euclid), Insomnia Cafe (Bloor and Bathurst), and soon another restaurant on Adelaide and King ( I believe, haven't been there yet but they expressed interest)

Also I will be taking part in Kensington Market's Pedestrian Sunday in the first Art Sale. It's happening July 31st and August 28th.

LITHO SLAYAGE

I finally got to document two new recent collaborative prints! They were both featured in Rock n Roll 3. Friends Erin Loree. and Bradford Wilson!

I rushed with Bradford to get the second layer done before the show but we decided to add a third layer as soon as I got home from tour. I think it looks a lot more bad ass now than before.

BIG UPDATE

Well things have been super crazy in my life these days. A lot of art and music has been heavily slayed in the past few months. I just got back from tour with The Isosceles Project so I finally have time to update everything that i have done in the past little bit.

First point of Discussion is ABSTRACT IMPLICATIONS
we had a great show at Steam Whistle Brewery in March 2011. It was up for the whole month. The show included David Contin, Stephen Seguin, Lex Buchannan, Bradford Wilson, Erin Loree, Christina Mazula, and myself. The staff was really awesome. The only negative part about the whole experience was that two pieces got stolen at the Beaux Arts Ball. but they were paid for my the student union and the gallery and we were vey grateful for that. here are some gallery shots

The Second Topic of Discussion is ROCK N ROLL 3 ( a celebration of stone lithography)

This is an annual show I organize to help promote stone lithography. It is comprised of mostly OCADU students, OCAD grads, some faculty, and some out of town artists. I hope to eventually start a website to help promote litho. I'm currently working on some "how to" videos for my youtube account which I will be launching shortly.

We had a great opening on Friday April 8th. Steam Whistle sponsored the event which was very nice of them. We had our best turn out ever! I can't wait to get Rock n Roll 4 brewing! hopefully we will be taking it to MTL this year!

Currently I have paintings up at Insomnia cafe untill July 5th with my friend Bradford Wilson. We will be showing at Tan Coffee aswell as other cafes.

My next update will discuss my master print experiences with Bradford Wilson and Erin Loree. I'm currently just finishing up a 3 layer print! I'll also be posting some photography from TOUR :D

NEW T-SHIRT DESIGN

Printopolis 2010...a little late but better than never

So this is my art and music blog. Take it and like it. This is my first attempt at a blog entry.

Printopolis was a totally bad ass printmaking event hosted by Toronto. I had the grand luxury of being able to be a helping hand during the two day Printopolis event called `Printing in the streets` chez OCAD. We essentially got a a steam roller, a whole lot of OCAD print students to carve out a bunch artist`s pieces on massive blocks, and two bad ass fall days to slay it like champions...and we fucking did!

I made this animation because i kept going around being like `get angry` when people were rolling up their blocks. thats my story. I think its giving me a seizure.

I`ll upload some happy conservative photos tomorrow :)
